Villas and Farming in Roman Britain - Day School
WEA Adult Education Course - The great villas of late Roman Britain with their mosaics were built on the profits of agriculture, and indicate the importance of Britain as a food producer on a huge scale. This Day School will look at the range of villas, their decoration and furnishing, as well as the farming that made such houses possible - and who it was that lived in these places!
Start time: Sat 10:00. Single session. Standard fee: £22. For information and bookings see website or telephone: 01392 457300.
