Mary Fedden and Julian Trevelyan were husband and wife but also artists in their own right. Having met at art school the pair worked together in the same studio for over 40 years, with Mary acting as Julian’s assistant for a short period of time. Because of their close living and working relationship, notable similarities can be seen the pair’s folk paintings.
