How do we think about moments? Moments are fuzzy-edged measures of time, containing a public or private event, charged with intense significance, whereby the future – expected or unexpected - bursts open the door of the present, bringing with it revelation or mystery, surprise or transformation, questions or answers. What part does literature – and culture more broadly - play in the development of such intensity; how does it construct the roles that 'moments' play in the way we write
