Quintet Romance at Dusk – a Shropshire Music Trust concert

A concert by an esteemed and respected group of chamber musicians – Innovation Ensemble. Their programme will consist of Brahms Quintet Op 34 (original version); and Schubert’s Quintet in C major. Innovation Ensemble is made up of violinists Ben Nabarro and Martin Cropper, with Louisa Williams viola and cellists Richard Jenkinson and Richard May. Director of Shropshire Music Trust, Kate Hogwood said: “Shropshire Music Trust is delighted to be bringing together again the special rapport of this group of esteemed and respected chamber music colleagues and friends of the late Peter Cropper in another early evening concert. Schubert’s sublime and much loved string quintet is a favourite of both chamber musicians and audiences alike. In this masterpiece the unforgettable and often haunting melodies contrast with the energy and vibrancy of the Viennese spirit. Brahms’ Quintet, one of the composer’s most popular chamber works.
