The Jar Family.
Styled ‘Industrial Folk’, these musicians from the North East are stunning. A festival organiser tipped them as ones to watch “a superb band..... One looks like a 60s Dylan, whilst another is an archetypical stevedore type with waistcoat, bowler and tattoos and looks like he spits rivets into ship plates for a living”.
These charismatic personalities use a wide range of musical styles and work together harmoniously, while the self-penned songs immediately stay in your mind. Echoes of Beatles, Oasis with originality, edge, grit and truth.
PS: You might just recognise the excellent Keith Wilkinson (ex Squeeze, Jools Holland) on bass.
Tickets: £14 Full. £13 Concessions. 8pm start.
