Windsor and Maidenhead Symphony Orchestra Spring Concert

We are delighted to welcome back Martin James Bartlett, BBC Young Musician of year 2014 and former winner of our music competition, to play the popular Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No.1 with us in our spring concert. Martin last played with us in our summer concert 2014 to a sold out hall, where he reprised his performance of the Rachmaninov Variations on a theme of Paganini, following his success in the BBC competition. The Tchaikovsky concerto is one of the most romantic and dramatic of all piano concertos, and a very fitting piece to perform in the magnificent grandeur of Eton College School Hall.
Our concert opens with the exuberant overture to Bernstein's operetta 'Candide', and we close with the popular Prokofiev Symphony no. 5.
