Cornwall Garden Society Evening Lecture
The Cornwall Garden Society’s (CGS) March lectures – the last of the 2017/2018 series – are by leading horticulturalist and garden designer, Andy McIndoe. With more than 40 years’ experience in retail and production horticulture, Andy was responsible for 25 consecutive Gold Medal winning exhibits at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show for Hilliers Nursery when he was Managing Director. Andy’s special interests include hardy shrubs, trees, herbaceous perennials, flower bulbs and garden design, and he has authored books on all of these subjects. He was awarded the prestigious Veitch Memorial Medal (one of the highest accolades in the world of horticulture) by the RHS in 2017 in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the science and practice of horticulture. The Creative Shrub Garden will be his subject.
7.30pm to 9.30pm. There will be an opportunity to purchase plants from a local nursery after the lectures, which are free for CGS members. Non-members are welcome and donations are gratefully received. www.cornwallgardensociety.org.uk
