A FREE geological talk at The Higgins Museum in Bedford on January 22nd, 2017 at 2.30pm Come and join us to learn about the geology of Bedfordshire. (Suitable for all) Bev Fowlston from The Bedfordshire Geology Group will give a presentation on the rocks that shape Bedfordshire’s landscape and explain how geology has provided the raw materials of sand, limestone and clay which have enabled important industries to develop in the county. Attendees will learn about life in the oceans that covered Bedfordshire long ago and be able to examine rock and fossil specimens from the museum’s extensive collection with experts on hand to answer questions.
