The beautiful medieval town of Ruthin offers 6 contrasting gardens, ranging from the large garden of Ruthin Castle, surrounded by ancient walls and picturesque grounds to beautiful little gardens hidden behind terraced cottages. One of the oldest timbered town house in Wales, Nantclwyd y Dre and the restored Lord`s garden beyond is a must see. Refreshments can be purchased here with proceeds going to the Friends of the property. 24 Borthyn and 6 Park Rd are pretty, cottage gardens both up the entry by the Chinese takeaway on Denbigh Rd and were a real hit with visitors in previous years. A new garden for this year, Sarum House, is through the archway on Record St hidden behind this large Georgian B&B and is so peaceful and elegant.
