Ascott - Open Garden for NGS

Combining Victorian formality with early C20 natural style and recent plantings to lead it into the C21, with a recently completed garden designed by Jacques and Peter Wirtz who designed the gardens at Alnwick Castle, and also a Richard Long Sculpture. Terraced lawns with specimen and ornamental trees, panoramic views to the Chilterns. Naturalised bulbs, mirror image herbaceous borders, impressive topiary incl box and yew sundial. Ascott House is closed on NGS Days.

For NGS: Mon 1 May, Mon 28 Aug (2-6). Admission £5, Children £2.50. Light refreshments. (NT members are required to pay to enter the gardens on NGS days). Times:14:00 to 18:00. Telephone:01296 688242. Open for charity.
