Wassail Concert

Bring in the New Year with a concert of Wassail songs from Mostly Madrigals at the Williamson Art Gallery. Wassailing is a very ancient custom that is rarely done today. The word ‘wassail’ comes from the Anglo-Saxon phrase ‘waes hael’, which means ‘good health’. Join us to wish ‘good health’ to all our visitors and staff and the fortunes of the Williamson for 2017. Free but donations welcomed for our supporting charity, the Williamson & Priory Friends.
