Exhibition: 'Comfort from Quilts'
By Red Cross Research Group. During WWII, Canadian women made hundreds of thousands of quilts which were sent to Britain, by the Canadian Red Cross, as civilian relief. Though often made from scrap materials, many of them show ingenuity and creativity in their design. These quilts raised the spirits of those who received them, touched by the kindness of strangers in a frightening time.
Tuesday to Thursday 10am to 4pm, plus the first Saturday of the month 10am to 4pm. Entry to all exhibitions is £4 unless sepcified.
