Our Mutual Friend Charles Dickens
In this essentially biographical talk, Jef Page will concentrate on three things: Dickens' early life and memories, and how that cuts into his books (for example, David Copperfield is almost fictional autobiography); his imagination and memories, which were vivid, particularly his shame of debt; and the London that he knew well. This talk could be especially relevant if you have Victorian London ancestors.
7.30pm. Free. Buckinghamshire Family History Society welcomes non-members (a small donation is appreciated).
