The garden is on a steep hillside running along the rocky shore of the Dee Estuary in Kirkcudbright Bay, close to the beach at the Dhoon and three miles from Kirkcudbright. Directions: On the B727 between Kirkcudbright and Borgue on the west shore of the Dee Estuary. Parking at Dhoon beach public car park, about three miles south of Kirkcudbright. There is a five to ten minute walk to the house.
