Charity Garden Open Day: Whiteside
The Garden, which extends to several acres is 200m above sea level on a north facing slope with views across to Queensberry and the Lowther Hills. There are some mature trees around the house but the rest of the garden is relatively new, having been created from a bare hillside since 2000. There are shrubs, young trees, a rowan avenue, a walled vegetable garden, orchard and courtyard garden. Several burns run through the property and there is a pond and two duck enclosures.
