Charity Garden Open Day: The Walled Garden, Shieldhill
This 200 year old walled garden has been completely redesigned and planted in 2014/15. It has been designed as a contemporary take on a traditional walled garden and incorporates a modern rill, a lily tank, perennial borders, a sunken sitting area, raised beds for fruit and vegetable and a greenhouse leading to the original potting shed. The walled garden is surrounded by a mature woodland walk including a giant sequoia and a wildlife pond. Directions: Turn off the B7016 between Biggar and Carnw
