This new town garden of half an acre on the edge of Kirkcudbright has been developed by the owners from scratch over the past nine years. It has a remarkably mature appearance already and is packed with colour and a huge variety of thriving plants, shrubs and trees, all carefully tended. There are two small ponds connected by a rill, with fountains at each end, herbaceous beds, gravel beds and a variety of statuary and garden structures. The garden is in a lovely position overlooking the River Dee. Directions: Coming in to Kirkcudbright via the A711 and Tongland Bridge, on the outskirts of the town pass the Arden House hotel on the left. Glenlivet is about half a mile further on the right. It is exactly half a mile from the town centre crossroads on the Tongland Road. Parking is on the main road.
1:00pm-5:00pm. £5.00 includes entry to both gardens (accompanied children free). Proceeds to Friends of Kirkcudbright Swimming Pool & SG Beneficiaries
