Ullswater and Aira Force - Red squirrel walk & talk

Come and meet Christian, the squirrel ranger from Penrith and District Red Squirrel Group that looks after the Aira Force red squirrels. Aira Force is best known for its impressive waterfall but it's also home to the iconic red squirrel. Unfortunately the numbers of these shy and elusive creatures have dropped over the years and Aira Force is one of the few remaining places in England where our native red squirrels still thrive.

We will meet in the car park, pick up a brew and then head
