Edinburgh (Penicuik) Spring Foraging Courses
This course is a simple foraging walk where we expect to be able to identify a selection of edible and poisonous wild plants, mushrooms flowers and fruits. We’ll also be providing a wild food based meal at the end of the course to include some of what we find.
We’ll stop for some tasty wild food treats along the way such as our wild food soup and some elderflower champagne.
After a 2 to 3 hour walk around the area and surrounding woods, we will go back to the Flotterstone Arms for some homemade food and to discuss and taste our finds. Depending on the day this could include mushroom pate, a pasta dish and a hand picked wild salad.
We will email all of you details of all the plants and mushrooms we find to help you to remember what you have learnt.
