Ponds: Freshwater Habitats & Ecology

Natural History Leisure Learining - Epping Forest is home to over 100 temporary & permanent ponds supporting a wide range of species from insect larvae to water fowl. A practical course providing a basic introduction to freshwater pond habitats for beginners; focus on sampling & identifying freshwater invertebrates. Aquatic plants & freshwater vertebrates will be touched on & the conservation satus of and management of ponds discussed briefly.

9.45 am to 4.00 pm. £35 per person. Free FSC guide Freshwater Name Trail.
