The Caerphilly 10K is set to return on Sunday 18th June 2017 along with the Caerphilly 2k. Set in the shadow of the spectacular Caerphilly Castle, the Caerphilly 10k will both start and finish on Crescent Road. Runners will have the opportunity to run a good time on a relatively flat course with some undulating points. The course will lead participants in and around the town centre, passing iconic landmarks including the giant cheese sculpture and Tommy Cooper statue along the way and offering great views of the medieval castle, which dominates as the stunning backdrop to the event. The course record was set by Owain Jones in 2016 who passed the finish line at in 31 minutes and 3 seconds and many elite and competitive entrants are expected to try and take on the record for 2017.
