Teignmouth Poetry Festival: Jo Shapcott
Playful, inventive, surreal, and yet both hard-hitting and eminently readable, Jo Shapcott's poems leave your head buzzing.
She paints vivid pictures and asks surprising questions. She has won the National Poetry Competition twice along with many other competitions, and been awarded the Queen's Gold Medal for Poetry.
The most recent of her many collections, 'Of Mutability', won the Costa Book Award. She teaches at Royal Holloway.
