W.E.A. Grimsby Branch Afternoon Lecture Saturday 4th March 2017 “Church Music in the Tudor Period” Tutor: Graham Saunders

The Tudor period was one of constant change in the church from Catholicism to Protestantism and there and back again - this had a tremendous effect on the music and we shall study this in that of Tallis, Byrd and Gibbons. This lecture will also contain some social history of the time as well looking at the Musicians.

Booking is essential with the Secretary Linda S
Doors open 1.15, lecture starts at 2pm, full afternoon tea half way and finish 5pm. Fee £8 (pay on day) which includes tea.
