Our Own Orpheus

Uniting his works with the Italian masters that inspired him, Musica Antica Rotherhithe perform Henry Purcell's haunting sacred scena In guilty night, alongside Luigi Rossi's little-known cantata Disperar di se stesso, before culminating in a semi-staged performance of some of the songs that earned him the title 'Orpheus Britannicus'.
