To tie in with National Shakespeare Week we have an evening talk with a difference. Tom Hughes Heritage officer will begin by sharing some of the lesser known links with the Bard around Port Sunlight Village, from a replica of Shakespeare's birthplace to the occasions when William Lever quoted the Bard in his addresses. Then the evening will take a more musical turn as Tom explores the music of Shakespeare's world from the tavern to the stage and from courtly tunes to street ballads accompanied by some of the instruments of the time.
