Blast from the past - Museums at Night 2017
A rare opportunity to explore Fort Nelson and experience the noise and power of the big guns after hours.
Highlights will include the firing of the 32-pounder Victorian gun in its original position in the North Caponier, an underground defensive chamber with sights set on the killing fields outside the Fort walls.
Out on the Parade the mighty Sexton, an armoured veteran of the Second World War will be put through its paces.
Costumed characters will provide presentations and handling sessions
