Film: Queen of Katwe [PG]
David Oyelowo (Selma, The Help) stars in the colourful true story of a Phiona Mutesi, born and raised in Katwe (a slum) in rural Uganda, who is instilled with the confidence and determination to pursue her dream of becoming an international chess champion with the support of her community. With beautiful cinematography and a stark look at slum life in Uganda, director Mira Nair weaves a heart-felt and intelligent tale.
