Yarn Bombing - Community Art Event
Artworks from Pangbourne, Whitchurch-on-Thames and stops along the Thames Path will be on display along Whitchurch Bridge.Yarn bombing is a popular form of street art where a public space is covered with colourful displays of artwork made from yarn or fibre. The theme of the installation is the Thames Path and will include work from artists, needle workers and weavers in a range of materials, including wool, thread and even recycled litter collected from the river side meadows.
The exhibition is free but visitors are encouraged to donate money, which will be distributed to local charities and community groups. Children can take part in the Mouse Hunt Quiz and win a hand craf
