A day dedicated to bringing plants into focus. Free Garden tours, ask-the-gardener and pop-up plant science stalls where University researchers share how they are using plant science to address global problems, are just a few of the highlights on offer at this year’s University Botanic Garden’s Festival of Plants. It’s a fun-filled, fact-finding, family day out where the Garden becomes a hive of activity and as well as brimming with spring colour. A range of tours and bite-size 10 minute talks are timetabled to run throughout the day. There will also be specialist plant stalls, children’s activities, composting and vegetable growing advice, live music and pop-up food and drink on offer, as the Garden showcases and shares the fascinating world of plant science. Festival of Plants is kindly supported by The Sainsbury Laboratory and CambPlants, University of Cambridge.
Saturday 20 May 2017 10am-5pm Normal Garden Admission applies. Admission tickets will be available in May to buy in advance from either ticket office to avoid queuing on the day.
