Dorset Button Workshop: Singletons, Grindles and Dorset Knobs
This workshop will introduce you to the Singleton, Grindles (or sea urchin style) and Dorset Knob buttons. The Singletons are quite simple and you may have made these before. They are essentially a fabric covered ring. The Dorset Knob buttons, after which the hard round biscuits are named, are another fabric formed button. The similar Grindle is a lovely button to make, again worked on a fabric form.
If you can, please bring with you a selection of sewing needles (blunt and pointed) and a pair
