Salt & cyan: photography using Victorian processes
This exhibition features the beautiful salt prints and Cyanotype photograms of Scarborough-based artists David and Angela Chalmers.
David creates his prints using a historic formula of salt, silver and sunlight invented by the pioneers of photography in the 1830’s. It has helped him to express a pure, uncomplicated photographic statement - a personalised vision of the moorland landscape in which he lives and works.
