The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart - Live Theatre at The Mandeville Hall, Kimbolton

Performed by the Eastern Angles, who have been touring the region with high quality theatre since 1982, The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart has toured extensively throughout Scotland, UK and the USA. It was given its London premiere by the Royal Court Theatre in 2013. This show is an amazing experience placing the audience in the heart of a Scottish pub with the story unfolding around them through music and performance. The Story - One wintery morning Prudencia Hart, an uptight academic, sets off to attend a conference in Kelso in the Scottish Borders. As the snow begins to fall, little does she know, who or what awaits her there. Inspired by the Border Ballads – and delivered in a riotous romp of rhyming couplets, devilish encounters and wild karaoke – Prudencia’s dream-like journey of self-discovery unfolds among and around the audience. “You shouldn’t miss this show for the world….Rambunctiously life-affirming and touchingly beautiful” The Herald
