Cambrian Railways 20th May Exhibition at Abbey Station Shrewsbury.

Abbey Station, Shrewsbury will be the venue on 20th May, (between 10:00am and 4:00pm) when an exhibition will be held for the public to show the heritage of the Cambrian Heritage Railways. Admission is free. There will be talks by Rob Williams, Chairman of CHR at 12:30pm and 2:30pm which will cover the past, present and future of both the railway history of Oswestry and the aspirations and success of Cambrian Heritage Railways. It will include coverage of the proposals for a light rail service Gobowen to Park Hall Halt.Their display will portray photograph images, and historic artefacts representing the Cambrian Railways, GWR and S and M Railway. CHR are securing the restoration of the Cambrian Railways in order to preserve the unique Railway Heritage of Oswestry and to provide a visitor attraction of national significance. This exhibition will be an interesting and informative event, where Cambrian Heritage Railways are offering complimentary ‘two centre family tickets’ (worth £20).
