Enjoy 120 stunning photographs: the work of Ilkley Camera Club, one of the top rated camera clubs in Yorkshire. Part of the exhibition features photographs submitted for the Club’s ‘Can You Believe Your Eyes?’ Competition. This was inspired by the famous Cottingley fairies hoax. Can visitors spot which images in the exhibition are genuine and which are fakes created by the photographer? There is also general photography by Club members including landscapes, portraits, nature photographs, architecture and travel. The public can vote for their favourite images in the Exhibition and enter a draw for a £20 voucher to use at Annings Camera Shop in Ilkley. On eight Saturdays during the Exhibition there will be free talks on photography and how to improve your camera skills: 6, 20 and 27 May, 3, 17 and 24 June, and 1 and 15 July. These run from 11.30am to 1pm in the Education Room. Book with Museum.
Exhibition launch: 1.30pm for 2pm on Saturday 29 April. Then runs from Sunday 30 April to Sunday 16 July. Opening times: Tuesday to Friday 10am – 4pm; Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays 11am – 4pm. Closed Mondays except Bank Holidays. Admission free.
