Tingley Brass Band perform at Dartmouth Park, Morley as part of the Summer Bands 2017 series. Free admission.
The Tingley Band was formed in 1979 by the parents of children who played instruments at Westerton Road Junior School. The parents found that, outside the school environment, there was nowhere in the vicinity for the children to pursue their musical hobby and that once they moved to senior school they would lose their involvement with brass banding altogether.
