ROLF HIND – Piano Recital in Conversation with composer ROB BURBEA
The concert will begin and end with Amara Vigil (Rob Burbea 2000), which is both a performance poem and an intricately imagined piano solo.
Other music has been chosen by Rolf Hind in order to enhance the journey between a first and second hearing of Amara Vigil. It will include pianistic landmarks by Debussy, Ravel and Messiaen, and music by Rolf Hind and other composers who are inspired by and dedicated to Buddhist practice.
