Academy of St Martin in the Fields Summer Concert
As part of the Wargrave Village Festival, the world-famous Academy of St Martin in the Fields will be playing a concert of popular classical music in St Mary’s Church. They are perhaps most famous for the 1985 sound track to the Oscar-winning film, Amadeus. The Concert will include Mozart – the Overture from the Marriage of Figaro and Symphony No 40 (The Great), Elgar’s Serenade for strings, Haydn’s ‘Surprise’ Symphony No 94 and The Hebrides Overture by Mendelssohn.
