Fun Lunchtime Fair in the City this Friday 19 May

This Friday 19th May, the heart of the City of London will become the setting for a British fete – a ‘summer festival’, which is free and open to everyone. The fair, which is to mark the end of Red Cross Week (7-13th May) - the annual fundraising week for the British Red Cross - will be hosted adjacent to the charity’s main headquarters in Moorgate. It will kick off at 12noon and will continue till 3 p.m. Among the attractions on offer at this free event will be live music sets, a DJ, pop-up fashion shops, a bazaar, and some of the most diverse and delicious street food stalls to be found in London. Also on offer will the opportunity to watch people taking part in a 100ft abseil down the office building itself. It’s also still possible to take part: a few places remain, no previous experience is necessary and all training will be given on the day. Entry fee is just £20. (See
