Letchworth Sinfonia Summer Concert
The programme includes Schumann's Overture, Scherzo and Finale opus 52;
Schubert's 3rd Symphony in D major D200;
Beethoven's 2nd Symphony in D major opus 36.
Beethoven wrote the 2nd Symphony when he was the same age that Schubert died. Beethoven had already begun to go deaf and was deeply in despair. However his 2nd Symphony is full of joy and life, he was desperate to get the music in his head down onto paper whilst he could.
This concert will be the final one with
