Nostell Priory and Parkland - The Clock Stops

Nostell looks after one of the first longcase clocks made by the famous inventor, John Harrison. Join in a year of 'Clock Work' celebrations to mark the 300th birthday of this ticking treasure, including this brand new exhibition, 'The Clock Stops'. You'll be able to get up close to this historical treasure and peer inside at the handcrafted wooden mechanism that's stood the test of time. Unravel the story of its maker, John Harrison, from his humble beginnings to solving the greatest scientific chal. Booking Not Needed.

A National Trust Event - Start 13:00. End 17:00. Free Event but Normal Admission Charges Apply. You’ll find ’The Clock Stops’ on the ground floor of the house. Check website for latest information.
