Melford Hall - Beatrix Potter - The Melford Hall Connection

An exhibition, in our Banqueting House, of facsimile sketches by Beatrix Potter. These sketches drawn whilst visiting her cousins, the Hyde Parkers, are inspired by Melford Hall and the surrounding area. Beatrix Potter would regularly take extended holidays at Melford Hall between 1899 and 1916 and her name and doodles can be found in a number of visitor books in the house. Beatrix would always carry a camera or sketchbook with her, and would sketch, pain. Booking Not Needed.
