Organ Concert
Part of the Jane Austen Regency Week. Frensham church organist, Mike Smith, will be giving a lunchtime organ concert featuring Georgian period music. The highly-rated St Lawrence church organ was built in 1866 by Henry Speechly at a cost of £850. In 1966 it was completely restored but retaining most of the original 1866 pipework. Shortly afterwards the Alton Organ Society was founded in 1967 and this year it celebrated its 50th Anniversary including visiting international organists.
