Bassenthwaite Festival
The second of three concerts of this friendly annual festival of Baroque music. A lunchtime recital on the theme of The Ground Bass: organ music by JS Bach, including his mighty Passacaglia in C minor, and arias by Purcell. Uplifting music, wonderful refreshments, all in the idyllic setting of this small historic church by the Lake – ‘a jewel of Lakeland!’
