Stowe - Demons land: a poem come true
A multi-media installation in which a great poem - Edmund Spenser's 'Faerie Queene' - is brought eerily to life. Its film, soundscapes, paintings and sculptures offer a dark allegory of colonialism, past and present, exploring art's complicity in the dreams and crimes of empire. 'Demons land' is the underbelly of our heritage. Booking Not Needed. Due to the nature of the exhibition, it may not be suitable for children.
A National Trust Event - Gates open 10:00. Start 10:00. End 17:00. Free Event but Normal Admission Charges Apply. Start your visit at the New Inn parlour rooms. Check website for latest information.
