Croft Castle and Parkland - Battle of Mortimer's Cross
Join us for a living history weekend full of gunpowder, battles, archery and swordfights, bringing to life one of the most significant battles of the Wars of the Roses. In 1461, Sir Richard Croft led his soldiers alongside Edward Mortimer, who later became Edward IV, to a Yorkist victory. They travelled from Croft Castle to the nearby battle site of Mortimer's Cross, which was then part of the Croft estate. See the Yorki. Booking Not Needed.
