Talk: Maud Heath & The Causeway

Meet Maud Heath and learn more about the woman whose legacy still exists after 500 years. Historical storyteller Jean Harvest will be in character and give the audience an opportunity to understand the impact of Maud Heath’s Causeway on Chippenham today.

Chippenham has been a thriving market town for centuries, helped greatly by Maud Heath who in 1487 left land in the care of Trustees for the construction of a raised path. Isolated village market traders used the causeway to reach Chippenham
