Edward VII and George V
WEA Adult Education Course - Sportsman, bon viveur, lover of beautiful women, and, when he finally became King, an able statesman and popular monarch. Edward had to adapt the monarchy to changing times and Britain's changing role. George, his son, had to steer the country and the monarchy through the cataclysm of the First World War. We shall explore the life and times of these two kings. Edward VII was born in 1841. George V died in 1936.
