Day School: Viennese Chamber Music

WEA Adult Education Course - We shall be listening to and exploring the Chamber Music examples composed by the four greatest composers working in Vienna in the late 18th and early 19th centuries: Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert. We shall be featuring string quartets, quintets and trios, tracing the development of each genre as well as reflecting the changing nature of the social conditions that inspired the selected examples.
