WEA Adult Education Course - Course includes the lives and achievements of famous 1930s aviation personalities - Amelia Earhart; Amy Johnson; Bery Markham etc plus male contemporaries - Jim Mollison; Francis Chichester; Charles Kingsford Smith etc. Technological achievements are explored - pressurisation - the advent of 'modern' airliners and the role and fashions for air stewards. The heydey of airships and the tragedies enveloping that technology as war clouds hastened aeronautica
