Romanticism in Music

WEA Adult Education Course - Romanticism in Music - we will learn about the 19th century Romantic period of music and compare and contrast the more traditionally classical romantics (for example Mendelssohn, Spohr, Schumann, and Brahms) with the more progressive romantic composers (for example Berlioz, Liszt, Wagner, and Bruckner) whose pursuit of a more dramatically passionate music lead to increased chromaticism and harmonic exploration.
